Other Works ✸

Beyond my main portfolio pieces, here are a few more projects that reflect my range, and my love for good storytelling, no matter the medium.

Bumbling Billy’s Adventures in Your Garden

Monash University, Instruction Project, 2022

This university project challenged us to activate a younger audience's natural problem-solving instincts by presenting information in a way that felt accessible and engaging to them. From that brief, I decided to create a children's book following a bee's journey through the world — and more specifically, how a person can create a garden that encourages bee conservation.

It quickly became one of my favourite projects, and a true passion project from start to finish, I wrote the story, illustrated every page, and designed the whole thing myself. To bring the concept to life even further, the book also features an accompanying poster and interactive stickers, giving children a hands-on way to engage with the story and start building their own idea of how they could grow a safe, bee-friendly garden themselves.

Getting to combine my love of reading with the chance to create something that could genuinely educate young minds made this one of the most rewarding projects I've ever worked on.

23rd Street Distillery Packaging Project

Monash University, Brand Extension, 2022

Twenty Third Street Distillery takes its name from its home on the corner of Twenty Third Street and Renmark Avenue in Renmark, South Australia. It's a brand built around crafting beautiful spirits and celebrating creativity in all its forms — using quality Australian ingredients, with a spirit of curiosity and reinvention always close by. Above all, it's a brand made to feel like it belongs to everyone.

As one of my final university projects, I was tasked with choosing an existing brand and designing packaging for a brand extension. I chose to work with 23rd Street Distillery, a well-loved gin brand, and decided to extend their offering into glassware. This project involved a great deal of research and planning, as I wanted the final packaging to not only meet the brief, but to genuinely capture the personality and spirit of the brand itself.

Poster and Flyer Creation

Kingston Candidate, Greg McMahon, 2024

I was tasked with creating an engaging, eye-catching poster and flyer for Kingston Yammerbook Ward candidate, Greg McMahon. The brief called for marketing materials that captured both his personality and his genuine commitment to the Kingston area, while standing out from typical candidacy posters, all without losing that sense of professionalism.

To bring this to life, I drew inspiration directly from Kingston's stunning coastline, weaving a wave motif throughout the design and pulling the colour palette straight from a photo of one of the area's beaches. The result was a set of materials that felt fresh and distinctive, while still feeling authentically tied to the place Greg was so passionate about representing.
